Mrs Louise Harris

Governor role – Chair of Governors, Child Protection, Attendance and Welsh Link Governor. Member of Premise, Health and Safety Committee

About me – I am married and mum to Oliver and Fraser. I have worked in the Civil Service for the past 16 years where I have undertaken a variety of roles that include recruitment and staff management. My boys take up most of my time, as an active family we enjoy getting outdoors for a bike ride or a long walk with our dog.

Statement – I am proud to be a governor at Saltney Ferry CP, having opportunities to see the development of pupils and the fantastic work that they produce is a real privilege. During my term of office, I have built up a sound understanding of the mechanics of the school and an ambition to drive the school to be a continuing success. I am committed to working with staff, pupils and parents to create a learning environment that allows all pupils to achieve their best.

About me – A married mum of 2 boys Ryan and Harry. I have worked in childcare for over 6 years working with children from 2 years to 11 years old. Although most of my free time is filled entertaining my own boys, I am a keen runner and often compete in races for fun and to raise money and awareness for charities.

Statement - I enjoy being part of the governing body as it has developed my knowledge and understanding of the different areas that need to combine for the school to run effectively. I feel I have a duty as a parent governor and am contributing on parents’ behalf to the containing success of the schools’ development.

Mr Adam Thomson

Governor role – link partnership to be confirmed, member of Premises, Health and Safety Committee

About me – I am married and a father to Belle and Polly. I serve as a Police Officer with Merseyside Police. Before this in many parts of the world serving as a Royal Marines Commando. Having two young children and working shifts there’s not a lot of downtime at the moment, however I prefer things fast paced.

Statement - I am proud to be a Parent governor at Saltney Ferry CP, as I believe I can cast an independent eye over the workings of what is already a fantastic school, I know my daughter is very happy here and looks forward to going to school everyday which as a parent is very reassuring. The role of a parent governor is a vastly responsible one and I would like an inside look on how things work and a chance to bring my previous and current experiences to our school.
