LA Governors

Rev. Gary Kennaugh

Governor role – Wellbeing Link Governor and member of School Strategy and Curriculum committee

About me– I am married to Lucy and together we have three wonderful children: Tilly, Naomi and Sam. Since 2015 I have been one of the Ministers at St. Marks Church in Saltney having previously been part of churches in Bristol and Ascot. Prior to full time ministry I worked for Wirral Council in Housing and Strategy and other policy work. Away from work I enjoy playing with the kids, walking my dog and watching Liverpool Football Club attempt to recapture the glory days.

Statement - I am passionate about the well-being and development of young people which involves ensuring they have access to good opportunities and excellent education in a safe and enjoyable environment. I fully believe Saltney Ferry CP is a school that is creating this kind of school and I am proud and privileged to be part of it. I hope and pray that together with pupils, staff and parents, and under the leadership of Miss Luke we can go from strength to strength together.

Cllr Richard Lloyd

About me – I am married and live locally close to the school. I have a grown-up daughter who now lives in Bretton and who attended the school as a child. I am a Flintshire and Town Councillor representing the Saltney Mold Junction Ward. I am and have been a local coal merchant for the past 45 years. Having been very sporty in my younger days I now just play the odd game of golf.

Statement -  I am very passionate about Saltney Ferry C.P and proud to be a governor. As ward councillor I can take any issues the school may have to Flintshire County Council to hopefully obtain a positive response. I am pleased to see the school progress thanks to the excellent teaching staff which allows all pupils to achieve their best.
